History

In geography and history, we have identified the core concepts that are revisited and built upon through the curriculum.  These have been drawn up with the help of an external adviser to ensure that coverage and depth of knowledge is assessed and reviewed to inform the next steps in the pupils’ learning.

The concepts in history are: agriculture, conflict, church, democracy, empire, invasion, kingdom, migration, monarchy, settlement, trade.
